The Mile End Road bath house had stood empty for many years and has now been transformed to provide a day care centre. The existing building layout was incompatible with the proposed usage and required extensive demolition internally and the introduction of steel frames, new concrete floors and the formation of a large atrium which dominates the main entrance.

High specification mechanical and electrical installations, combined with high specification finishes, has provided the East London community with a valuable asset and proves that redundant buildings can, with vision, be adapted to provide the most modern accommodation.
